You've invested in a beautiful resin statue — now how do you keep it looking pristine for years? Resin collectibles are durable, but they do require basic care. Follow these tips to protect your collection.
Dusting: Do It Regularly, Do It Gently Dust is the #1 enemy of displayed statues. Use a soft, clean makeup brush or a can of compressed air (held at a distance) to remove dust from crevices. Never use rough cloths or paper towels — they can scratch delicate paint surfaces.
Sunlight: Keep It Away Direct UV sunlight will fade paint over time, especially on lighter colors and translucent parts. Display your statues in a shaded area or behind UV-protective glass. Rotate pieces occasionally if they're near a window.
Temperature & Humidity Extreme heat can soften resin and cause warping. Avoid placing statues near radiators, heaters, or in hot attics. Moderate room temperature (18–25°C / 65–77°F) is ideal. High humidity can encourage mold — use dehumidifiers in damp rooms.
Handling: Two Hands, Clean Hands Always handle statues with clean, dry hands. Oils from your skin can stain paint over time. For large or heavy pieces, lift from the base — never grab delicate parts like weapons, hair, or capes.
Display Cases Worth the Investment If you're serious about collecting, an acrylic or glass display case is the best protection you can buy. It keeps out dust, reduces UV exposure, and prevents accidental knocks.
Repairs & Replacements If a piece arrives damaged, contact us immediately with photos — we coordinate with studios for replacement parts. For older pieces with minor paint wear, a professional figure restorer can touch up small areas.
Take care of your statues, and they'll look gallery-fresh for a decade or more.
